Tips To Lessen Stress In Your Life

By Larry Sabler

If you want to minimize stress in your life, then try following these simple tips.

If you want to suffer less disappointment, then try lowering your expectations. Learning to accept things as they are will help you relax more.

It's okay to say no. When asked to do something, don't say yes at once and tell them you'll get back to them. You'll be given time to think with this technique. With this technique, you can choose to say no politely and calmly.

It's also a good idea to do things one at a time. Don't rush into things. Your heart will race if you're racing as well. Prioritize your tasks by writing lists. Besides the results of your efforts, it's also important to enjoy what you're doing.

Another good advice is to stop trying to fall asleep. If you go to bed in the hopes of quickly falling asleep, you may suffer frustration of wakefulness. What you need to do is to quit struggling and try to relax. Just be thankful of your blessings and being warm and safe. Try to breathe slowly and listen to your heart's peaceful beating.

You need to laugh more. You need to find the humor in things. Laughter is known to have healing powers. Nature's finest form of natural medicine are the special chemicals released during laughter. If your day has been a stressful one, then try adding humor to your evening. Watch something funny on TV, like a sitcom or film so that you can counter the stress you've endured during the day. You can also try visiting YouTube if you want to watch funny videos.

Don't feel guilty when you treat yourself with a catnap. This is especially effective when your body is pleading for rest. Fresh air is also important. It's very stressful to be surrounded with work. Don't be cooped up in the office during your lunch break. Your tensions will dissipate for a while when you lose yourself in nature.

Try to live in the now. Don't try the impossible and change the past. Try to look forward to the mysterious and seductive future instead. Making the most out of it is what you need to do now. You need to give it everything you've got and be creative.
