By Marguerite Stanton

Each control room design prioritizes safety and comfort. It is commonly a type of studio area where a lot of electronic switches and controls are used to operate specific equipments. The person who stays in this place most of the time and operates the electronics is the engineer.

Since the engineer stays for long hours in these rooms, it is made to be comfortable. They should be conducive for working conditions. It permits the individual to work with maximum efficiency. It is the main factor for the studio to be successful.

The area must be soundproofed. Drywall and panels must be set up. The decorating must be neat and it should look appealing. If you do it sloppily, it will not become a place good for working. The main reason that this area must be soundproofed is for the sounds' accuracy coming from their speakers while the recording is going on.

The floors are best made out of wood. It will provide a classy and neat look to the area. If you do not want it to be made of real wood, you can get an alternative similar material that is affordable and easy to install.

The furniture must be attuned with the other appliances around it. The desks, couches and tables must coordinate with the motif or the scheme of the office. It must not be distracting and it should also be well planned.

Lighting can set the right ambiance. Fluorescent light may be too bright to be an inspiration for such a creative space. You can purchase lamps and other sources of subtle lighting. Explore other kinds of sources that can give additional comfort to the space.

Usually, a window is always placed in the tracking room. For the others, a group of television sets replace the window. With this control room design, the engineer will be able to direct and communicate with the crew outside the area.
